Spring 2025 SAT Comprehensive Courses

I will not be offering an SAT Prep course during the Spring 2025 school semester. Instead, only individual (one-on-one) tutoring will be available during this time. Comprehensive prep classes will be offered during the summer months.

This decision is based on recent experience of working with high school students. The reality is that most high school juniors are too busy with academic responsibilities and extracurricular activities to fully commit to SAT preparation during the school year. As their immediate academic obligations take precedence, SAT prep often becomes a lower priority.

Many students struggle to complete assigned homework or take practice tests as scheduled, making it challenging to review material effectively in a group setting. Students often come to class too fatigued to engage. These challenges hinder the effectiveness of SAT preparation for both the students who fall behind and those who are diligently keeping up.

One-on-one tutoring mitigates many of these issues, as sessions can be scheduled to accommodate individual student’s fluctuating academic and extracurricular demands. This flexibility ensures that students receive tailored, effective preparation.

Recommendations:

  • For Current Juniors: If you do not wish to delay taking the SAT into your senior year, I recommend exploring one-on-one tutoring.
  • For Current Sophomores: It is advisable to wait until the summer for comprehensive SAT prep classes. However, if your summer is already committed to activities like camps or travel, one-on-one tutoring is also an option.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or wish to discuss tutoring options, feel free to reach out.
